Digital Forensic Technology Experiences a Huge Growth

Digital forensic evidence can help prove cybercriminal activities and secure convictions. These technicians can be found in law enforcement agencies, medical facilities, and private companies. This technique is used to analyze digital activity without revealing artifacts, which are digital clues related to digital crimes. It is primarily used in data breach investigations because attackers who are not considered to be insiders usually do not leave behind digital artifacts. Another type of analysis, called cross-drive analysis, correlates information from multiple hard drives and provides context. As more cases involving the use of digital evidence are being submitted to digital forensics, the technology itself has undergone significant change.
